This what i think about circumcision. It must STOP! The cutting of infant penis's is a deplorable practice. No cosmetic surgery should be administered to any child unless it is to rectify a deformity or similar.
I really do not understand how a parent can sit there and allow this procedure to take place in front of them.
To the mothers, this young boy who relies on you for safety, sustenance and security, you hand over to be strapped down while the most sensitive part of his body is dissected, How do you do that?
To the fathers, Just because some barbarian did it to you does not mean that your son has to have the same thing happen to him. His 'junk' does not need to match yours. For what reason do you feel that his penis must look the same as yours?
The foreskin is a protective barrier to the glans and in normal young boys does not retract until the age of approximately 7 to 10. When this is carried out at such a young age, the foreskin is not only cut off, first it must be peeled back which in itself is painful for the child. This should not be happening in civilized countries in the 21st century.
Now that i have said this, Where do you draw the line? Ill tell you where. Like i stated above, NO cosmetic procedures should be administered to any child ever unless medically necessary. That goes for girls and ear rings aswell. I would get funny looks if i gave my son an ear ring in his eye brow or lip so why is it ok to puncture a daughters ear lobes? It is not.
Circumcision is an unnecessary operation that disables the penis and alot of the time deforms it aswell. The foreskin is not a vestigial organ and even if it were like the appendix, we do not remove it unnecessarily. This needless procedure not only harms boys and men but women aswell due to a circumcised man being a very painful sexual partner as there is much more friction during sexual relations, not only that but masturbation is virtually impossible as nature intended it and can only be possible with a suitable lotion and not to mention the loss of sensitivity which also contributes to female soreness and lack of sexual fulfillment for the man as an adult that he will never know.
People (especially America) It is time to stop this barbaric practice and put laws in place to stop it as everybody knows in their heart that this is wrong. We have outlawed Female genital Mutilation and now it is time to do the same for Male Genital Mutilation. Mothers and fathers Please stop doing this, It takes but one generation to flip it from 80-20 circumcised to 20-80 as it did in Australia. Thankyou for not torturing your boys. Those were the cons, there are no pros.

Here is an article on the common circumcision damage that can occur, such as no frenulum, major scarring and bridges where the wound heals and adheres to another part of the penis
